Stay Put: Massachusetts Tax Break For Game Developers Squashed Like A Goomba

Game developers looking to relocate (or return) to Massachusetts (Taxachusettes) for the proposed tax break that surfaced several weeks ago, can unpack their bags, and play a few rounds of Hail to the Chimp to better familiarize themselves with the ever-changing political landscape.
According to the Boston Globe, the State House voted to allow the bill after several hours of debate, however the head of the State Senate, Therese Murray, overruled their decision shortly thereafter.
“I just don’t think it’s something that’s affordable,” said Murray. “It’s not the top of our agenda.”
It appears we can now add Therese Murray to the every growing list of “deciders” who feel it’s their place to step in at the last moment and impose their will.
