Gears 2 LE Bundle To Include Replica Lancer Capable of Cutting $130 Hole In Your Wallet

A member of the Gears of War Comic-Con 08 panel supposedly made an “unofficial announcement” regarding a $130 Gears of War 2 Limited Edition bundle. Microsoft has yet to confirm anything, but the news would not surprise me if proven true.

The source who overheard the announcement added that the item will not be actual size. Really? You mean the LE box won’t be 3 feet in tall? Well that sucks.

Hey Microsoft, what the fuck are we going to do with a G.I. Joe sized miniature Lancer? Don’t answer that question. Why not crank the price up a few hundred bucks more, and give us something we can use to trim our hedges?

Want to get your money’s worth? Buy the regular edition of the game, and mow a few extra lawns this summer. When you have a grand saved up, buy this, and remember, you always get what you pay for.

    It’s good to see a web site knocking these stupid “legendary” editions. How many people still think what they paid for the Halo 3 Legendary edition was worth it? Do you still get joy from having a cat sized MC helmet cluttering up your house even when you can get it now for a third of the price? Grow the hell up and develop some personal responsibility. You have bills to pay and sadly, maybe even kids to raise and you’re buying useless plastic toys? Now some will think they can sell the legendary editions for more years from now but as the owner of a 2600 I got as a kid I’ll tell you this shit will NEVER be worth more than you paid unless you have some very rare stuff. The legendary edition of muti million selling unit games will never be rare so just stop it.
