Pixeljunk Eden is really fantastic. No, perhaps it's not something everyone will appreciate but I don't think having to visit each garden more than once should deter anyone.

Each time you enter a garden you have to progress a little deeper into it to find the spectra, getting a larger sense each time of what the garden is like as a whole.

Like a lot of these downloadable games it probably is best played in smaller parts. If you're just playing to beat the game there isn't a lot of point, and that goes for anything. It's the playing of the game that is the experience, the enjoyment. If you sit down for three hours and keep playing the first garden over and over until you get all the spectra or all the seeds it's not going to be very enjoyable.

Progress through the gardens one after another and then come back to the early ones after awhile if you've gotten stuck on the later ones and go for more of the spectra.

I find it really fun and relaxing. It's very unique in presentation, and kind of retro in its precise platforming controls.

There's a demo, give it a try if you're curious.

I hate re-playing sections. Thanks, you've helped make my mind up about this game: I was borderline, but having to re-play sections like you mention is something I'm not going to bother with. Maybe if the price drops, but for now, I won't be purchasing Eden.

You referenced stoners like 5 times in that article.

Do we need to institute mandatory drug testing? Because I'd sure like to test some drugs.
