Sony are the only console giant to have an official showing at this years Leipzig Games Convention and with promises of blockbuster announcements and possible new game revelations, what games do we actually know will be on show from the 20th-24th of this month?

The good news first.  Heavy Rain will be on show with no curtains to hide the presentation from public eyes, so we’ll get to see much more than the already revealed screenshots and behind the scenes footage.

It’s looking less likely that Eat Sleep Play will reveal their new PS3 game at the convention, since previous evidence looks to suggest an internal development showing.  However, there should be a healthy list of titles on show, including the following:

- MotorStorm Pacific Rift
- LittleBigPlanet
- Resistance 2
- Free Realms
- The Agency
- DC Universe Online (announced at E3)
- Infamous
- PlayStation Home
- Killzone 2 (single player and multiplayer hands-on)
- Heavy Rain

Not too shabby, but we certainly hope for more new exclusive game announcements.

Looks like garbage, except for heavy rain. Then again, Sony released Siren, so I'm sated for this year

Heavy Rain? HELL YES! Confirmed? Sweeet. I'm excited now. Remember there also 12 announcements from Sony at Leipzig this year. And a big announcement for LittleBigPlanet.

    And an announcement for Home...
  • madpuppy
    finally, some love from Sony...:P

man, I need to start saving my pennies.
  • didnt they say something like 12 announcements for this event?

    hopefully they are good!
  • Patrick Steen
    David Reeves (SCEE) did indeed.
  • kotd

  • hgdf
ya the one guy from sony also said wait for tgs so im guessing e3 was just a little bit of whats coming

i must also say i like how everybodys excited about heavy rain even though we barely know what it is... i heard it was a really immersive horror game or something. i dont like resident evil/left for dead style games so hopefully its not like that. Im really excited about the the killzone multiplayer showing for sure though. And ya i heard there were 12 announcements too... im guessing most of them are going to be crappy though considering they still have to announce some good stuff at tgs

All the usual then. Hopefully they'll surprise us with something.

I heard Home was comming out with Duke Nukem Forever.
Most of these games, untill recently, I havn't had much interest in, but more Resistance 2 and some actual info on Heavy Rain has got me curious.
  • Patrick Steen
hgdf: Heavy Rain isn't a horror game, it's a psychological thriller action adventure game. It will be like an interactive movie, where you can change the destiny of the characters. There'll also be adventure gameplay where you can play more than one character.

Home will be expanding within the next few weeks.

Well its about time we see some of the Agency and Infamous!!

I'm wanna see more KZ2, LBP R2, and DC Universe!!
  • Discombobulator
@ John, i'll believe in Duke Nuken Forever once i'm playing it, until then its an urban myth! Home is where the heart is, does SCEA have a heart?
  • Passerotto
    NO, IT'S NOT A CONFERENCE!!!
    it's only for players.
  • Josh
    "Sony IS"...not "Sony ARE"
  • Patrick Steen
Josh: UK and US grammar differs on collective nouns. In British English collective nouns can take either singular or plural form, whereas in American English collective nouns are singular in construction.

eg. BrE: The Clash are a well-known band; AmE: The Clash is a well-known band.

Since I'm English I follow British grammar. Hope that clarifies your discrepancy.
