Gang Garrison 2: A Team Fortress 2 “Demake”

Can’t run TF2 but still want to know what all the hubub is about? Well, it might not be the same as the real thing, but Gang Garrison 2, a fan-built “demake” of TF2, is still pretty cool in and of itself (and most likely’ll run on your Intel Integrated Graphics cards). Yep, it takes TF2’s maps, classes, and core gameplay, and converts it all into simple-but-attractive 2D pixels. There are even some new maps, and *gasp* genuine online multiplayer. I haven’t tried it out yet myself, but it looks pretty awesome. See it for yourself: trailer (complete with a chiptunes-tastic version of the TF2 theme) after the jump.

It’s pretty fun. Good for those times when you’re bored but don’t feel like investing a lot of time into a game.

I played it a bit - the presentation is pretty funn as a parody of the actual game - otherwise it’s really pretty enjoyable, but obviously not as deep as the real thing.
played online and there were plenty of folks on the one server active…it was a bit buggy, though.

It’s odd how explosions from your team don’t damage you, but they still send you flying- I had a friendly demo fire me across the map with a sticky.

It is a little buggy… but it’s actively being developed so it probably won’t stay that way for ever.
