Gaming Deals of the Week 10/06/08

Although I operate in the big bad world of gaming journalism, I’m not exactly rolling in the dough. Far from it in fact. So for the financially-impaired like myself, here are the Ripten Gaming Deals of the Week.
Mercenaries 2
If you’re looking to pick up Mercenaries 2 but aren’t thrilled about throwing down sixty bucks, Circuity City is offering the game for $44.99, a full fifteen bucks off of the retail price. Even better, if you’re looking to get it for Playstation 2, it’ll only run you $24.99. Have fun blowing shit up.
Guitar Hero 2 X-plorer Controller for Xbox 360
Did you pick up Rock Band 2 for Xbox 360 only to find that your band is in dire need of a bassist? Fret not (heh heh), as you can pick up a Guitar Hero 2 X-plorer Controller from NewEgg for a mere $19.99.
Resistance 2
Resistance 2 hits shelves in a little less than a month and if you preorder the standard edition from Amazon, you’ll receive a $10 Amazon gift card. This is a pretty good deal for those of you who frequently purchase things online.
Nyko Wii Charge Station
For those of you who hate buying batteries, which I’m pretty sure is everyone, Amazon is offering Nyko’s Wii Charge Station for $24.99, five bucks off the normal retail price.
Fallout Collection
With Fallout 3 coming at the end of this month, it’s a good time to get caught up on your apocalypse surviving skills. You can pick up the Fallout Collection, which includes Fallout 1 & 2 as well as Fallout Tactics, for the somewhat-random price of $12.90 from GoGamer.
Crysis Warhead
While you’re at GoGamer, why not swing over and pick up Crysis Warhead, the sequel to Crysis, for $22.90, almost ten bucks off of the full price. What is up with GoGamer and their desire to charge ninety cents?
Wal-Mart Got Game
Finally, Walmart.com has a deal going on where you can pick up an assortment of games on the cheap. You can get three PS2 games for $25, two Nintendo DS games for $25, two Xbox 360 games for $35, or two Nintendo Wii games for $35. They don’t offer the best selection, but they’re cheap and worth a look.
