Dave Perry: Videogames Can Only Get Better
by Sam Naylor on October 8, 2008 at 2:21 pm
Game designer Dave Perry, the man behind one of the greatest games of all time, Earthworm Jim, has given a talk over at TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) on the future of the medium.
He argues that videogames as a form of media will, and perhaps have already, become more involving than real life, and not just visually.
Therefore, Dave focuses instead upon the emotional impact of games, which have the power to make the player feel emotions that they might never have felt before; showcased by an excellent film at the end. ‘Twenty minutes long?!’, you say? Just watch it. You’ll thank us afterwards.
Thanks, Wardrox!
