Gears 2 Hacked, Game Leaked to File-Sharing Sites

The fallout continues, as Gears of War 2 is the latest game to be victimized by hackers. Reports confirms the game’s existence on an unnamed torrent site, documenting over 6,000 downloads queued since the game surfaced approximately fifteen hours ago.
With the game set to release on November 7th, there is a silver lining for Microsoft, and that comes in the form of a “new purchase” incentive. Those who buy a new copy of the game, will get access to exclusive content unavailable anywhere else. Will it be enough to ease the burden of piracy? We’ll know soon enough.
