e3-media-business-summit-is-no-more-long-live-the-e3-expo-2009-gives-new-life-to-old-e3

Remember E3 2008? No, neither do I. It’s not worth the space in my memory. In the future, though, it seems that E3 will become something to look back fondly upon! E3 is being renamed and remodeled back from the E3 Media and Business Summit to the old name, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). The ESA had this to say on the matter:

After conducting both qualitative and quantitative research, ESA officials stated changes were necessary to better meet the needs of both exhibitors and attendees— these changes include increased booth sizes, increased qualified audiences, and an intensified focus on reinforcing the high-octane growth, innovation, and capitivating entertainment that are driving the computer and video game industry.

Back to the ‘old’ E3? Well, I should certainly hope so. Even if it does go back to that, will it surpass PAX (The Penny Arcade Expo) ? I wouldn’t say so. PAX is ever-growing, and E3 crippled itself in these last few years. Nevertheless, it’s good news to hear that E3 is actually trying to better itself.
