Sequel Flood: Army of Two 2, Dead Space 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2

In a recent interview with Variety, EA games label president, Frank Gibeau, and Dead Space executive producer, Glenn Schofield, revealed that there are sequels in the works for some of EA’s biggest games.
Gibeau stated that there is a “sequel idea planned” for Army of Two and a Battlefield: Bad Company. We can only hope that the sequel for Army of Two is called “Army of TwoTwo (TuTu)”. Also mentioned was that a sequel to Dead Space, EA’s recently released horror shooter, was already in the works, and that ideas for a Dead Space movie were in the pipeline as well.
This of course follows news that Mirror’s Edge is part of a trilogy. EA certainly know how to milk their products. Do you care? Is more of these games a good thing, or will you refuse to buy milked stuff (besides milk, of course)? Let us know in the comments.
From the source:
-Gibeau says there is a “sequel idea planned” for “Army of Two” and also for “Battlefield: Bad Company.” Which is as close to saying there will indeed be an “Army of Two 2″ (”Army of Three?” “Army of Two Squared?”) and “Bad Company 2″ as we’ll probably get until the sequels are officially announced.
-Schofield were [sic] pretty casual about mentioning that a “Dead Space” sequel is already in the works (though it could of course be cancelled in the unlikely event that the game bombs).

If it sells, make a sequel. That’s how entertainment works. I’m not particularly stoked on the concept that if one sells, make it a trilogy (most commonly seen in movies, but more and more in gaming) but if it means more DeadSpace I’m interested.

Honestly, I’m pleasantly surprised. EA is putting out really good games all of a sudden, all of which I like. Now, don’t get me wrong, these aren’t AAA titles that are going up for game of the year. Instead, they are really good AA titles that are well worth the 60 bucks. Army of Two was good, Bad Company was even better (with a damn good multiplayer too). Dead Space though takes the cake. This game surprised the hell out of me and is one of the best games I have played all year. But, Fallout 3 hasn’t been released yet, so I’m guessing that will take the crown.

To be honest, I am actually liking EA more lately, used to hate them some bit really.
Anyways, Ao2 is a good choice, there was a lot of potential in the first one. BFBC, obvious. Dead Space! Woot. After going through all the comics the story really is a huge one, so they could literally have a 10 game saga and there could still be enough to be tapped into, I think.

I freakin knew they’d make a movie of Dead Space. But hey I’m enjoying the game thus far so here’s hoping for an equally or if not better Dead Space sequel.

I would love me some more Bad Company. Dead Space is pretty much a winner as well. nothing wrong with a good sequel esp. if the first story calls for it and the characters are likable.
