geeked-out-railroad-alarm-clock-helps-start-your-morning-right-by-blowing-your-ear-drums-out

What the hell is a video game blog doing writing about alarm clocks?

Well, this isn’t just any alarm clock; this one is made by Banpresto … you know, the video game developer. They make all of Dan Landis’ favorite games like Super Robot Wars W and Suzumiya Haruhi no Tomadoi. Now have I got your attention?

Good, but if for some reason I haven’t woken you up, I’m sure this alarm clock will. Banpresto’s new Railroad Alarm Clock is shaped like a Japanese railroad sign and makes all the annoying train sounds that one would expect. The alarm itself houses an extra large and loud speaker (40mm), with the ability to produce the extreme amount of train noise needed to wake up someone from a deep sleep.

For the time being, this item will only be available in Japan starting January 2009. I wonder why it’s Japan-only? Probably because it’s freakin’ awesome.

Those aren’t my favorite games! Wait a minute… do they also make Barbie Horse Adventures?
