The Watercooler – 28 October 2008

by Dan Landis on October 28, 2008 at 4:04 am

The Watercooler

I wish I had a theme song for The Watercooler so I didn’t have to write something here every day, but I don’t, so I do. The Watercooler, as always, is the best thing you will see on the Internet today, mainly because it is the best thing I saw yesterday, or since the last Watercooler at least.

Today’s Watercooler I’m sure will be incredibly controversial. It features a dude of unknown age who apparently has Down Syndrome.  He’s at what appears to be a fast food restaurant talking on his cell phone while waiting for his food to arrive.

Suddenly, a little kid walks into the picture, the guy for some reason feels the need to kick him, to which he is treated with a punch to the face.

Engage.

You may be able to guess where I found this video, but we aren’t using their player because it makes the video look so much shittier than it looks now.

Anyway, what’s the deal here? Some people may think that this individual just doesn’t know any better, that it’s not his fault. Other people will think that this guy got what he deserved and his condition is not an excuse for his behavior.

In the situation from the video, I don’t care who it is (grandma, the president, Count Chocula): if somebody kicks my child, I will destroy them. Maybe that just makes me intolerant, but I am curious what you all think you would do if it was your child. Also, who do you think is at fault here?

Well, Dan, I think YOU are at fault for posting this in the first place.

I agree with you. I don’t have kids but if I did I would kill for them.
