Ragnarok Online: PC and DS to Share Special Items

by Sean Mitchuson on November 12, 2008 at 12:11 am

Flipping through Famitsu just a few minutes ago and this was at the top page.  I had been looking foward to Ragnarok Online for the DS just to see how much like or dislike the PC version it would be.  Apparently if you are really into the PC game and like to do quests, you can get some special items for the DS version.

Raganarok Online comes out in Japan for the DS on December 18th.  According to the article at Famitsu there are some quests that you can do to unlock three special items in the DS game.  The items a  broken sword, ancient text of the shaman, and wings of visofuniru (sometimes katakana names don’t come to me quick enough).  Are unlockable as you progress through both games.

I don’t want to give away to much but Famitsu says it all starts with a Midguard Guidebook of some sort.  To be honest I couldn’t stand playing the game because of how time consuming it is, but the characters are really cute.

If you are interested in Ragnarok Online and the DS incarnation stay tuned.  I’ll probably pick it up the day it goes on sale and give a brief rundown of what I think.  I doubt I’ll be working for those special items though.
