Criterion Announces Toy Cars for Burnout Paradise
by Sam Naylor on November 14, 2008 at 1:12 pm

Criterion have announced a brand new set of downloadable cars for their acclaimed racer, Burnout Paradise, following last week’s announcement of a hover car. The Toys available include the Carson GT Concept P12, the Kreiger Racing WTR, the Hunter Takedown 4×4 and the Hunter Manhatten. There are a further five unnanounced cars in the pack, Criterion reports.
After the hover car, was this really that much of a surprise? Criterion are really going overboard with excellent looking downloadable content for this game, and this pack is no exception- a toy monster truck? What self-respecting racing fan doesn’t want to drive one of those around Paradise City? We look forward to the next DLC update from Criterion next week!

How much does it cost?

The game itself is crap in my opinion. The cars look okay.

No word on cost, unfortunately.
I wouldn’t say the game is crap, but I don’t own it because I would most likely never play it…

actually, the game is fun for me in a way that I think that it wasn’t intended. I just like to drive around listening to music, it’s quite cathartic. other than that I feel that burnout 3 was more fun. I miss the crash challenges and the well defined tracks, the idea that I don’t have to drive around looking for a particular race. I think if the made another burnout similar to takedown but added better crash physics and photo realistic vehicles, real looking explosions and fire, bigger audio effects, environmental damage and a larger soundtrack. I would buy it in a flash. oh yeah! better multi-player with chat and friends invite/join.

When I played Paradise, the remixed theme from Burnout 2 instantly made me want Burnout 2 remade, or just another Burnout in that style. None of the silly extra stuff they kept adding (although it did make Burnout 3 brilliant), just straight racing and crashing. Do want.
