The Watercooler – The Worst Music Video EVER?

by Dan Landis on December 6, 2008 at 10:02 am

The Watercooler

Warning: The Watercooler is the best thing you will see on the Internet today, mainly because it is the best thing I saw on the Internet yesterday. Be advised that these Watercooler stories are not necessarily videogame related (they usually won’t be), and are often silly, controversial, and/or not safe for work (NSFW). If this type of content frequently offends you, please be aware that I just warned you — if you still click through and get offended, it will be your own stupid fault. Otherwise, please continue…

Sorry for going up late today, but I was busy watching my Saturday morning cartoons. Anyhow, today’s Watercooler features quite possibly the worst music video in the history of bad music videos. Brought to my attention by my good friend Todd Michael Rogers, the terribleness of this video defies all logic. It is so bad that it goes from being hilariously bad back to being just regular old horrible.

Seriously, this is like a ‘what not to do’ amalgam of everything that’s been wrong with music videos over the past 30 years. It’s actually kind of amazing.

Kids these days…

Think you have something that could be Watercooler material? Send it to dlandis@ripten.com. If your submission gets featured, you will win a prize package full of pride and accomplishment.

Don’t get me wrong, the music itself is quite horrible. However, the music video is good. Good production values, some great editing, and a decent gimmick (the pig). The truth is, I recently wrote a list of the worst 5 music videos of all time, and this video cannot compare to the sheer awfulness of these other videos.

I dare you, for instance, to watch “Going Bonkers” by Tricia Walsh-Smith without feeling the need to punch her in her smug face. Such is the torture one feels upon watching this video.

Yup, this one is definitely bad – will consider adding it to my site http://www.TheWorstMusicVideos.com
