God of War III Gameplay Incoming

All we’ve seen of God of War III is a short teaser that most suspect to be CGI.  News of an original trailer making its way to the 2008 Video Game Awards was accompanied by the thought that the trailer would be an extended version of that CGI reveal.  It’s not. It’s real-time gameplay.

That’s according to Geoff Keighly of Gametrailers;

Kratos soon arrives on the PlayStation 3 and only the VGAs will bring you the first-ever glimpse at this game. And let me put all you skeptics to rest right now. I’m happy to confirm you’ll be seeing real-time gameplay footage.

Hoorah! Lets hope the game can live up to the hype reamassed by David Jaffe on his blog.

There’s more exciting exclusives coming to the VGA Awards, including an extended real-time time trailer of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and the very first trailer of the Xbox 360′s exclusive Grand Theft Auto IV downloable content, The Lost and Damned.

Geoff also hints at some new game announcements, so it might be a good idea to tune into Spike TV on Decemeber 14th.

    grrr, grrr, mumble Xbox360 grrr! better than PS3 grrr! (psycho ramblings, something about Sony and the worn out word “fail” and “epic” in the same sentence. snide worn out remark about root kits on cd’s a while back to justify the dislike of the PS3. ect….)

    I have checked it out, I own an xbox 360 and a PS3, I was just being a smart a$$. I had the opportunity to play God of War II at my brothers house the other day ( I pushed him into buying it)
    He has an 80 gig PS3 with PS2 emulation and I don’t.

    The PS2 game looks great and I can only guess what the PS3 own version is going to look like.

    so much quality stuff coming out next year, Killzone 2, GowIII, Uncharted II, prototype, fear 2, MAG, beyond good and evil 2, heavy rain, boishock 2….ect…ect.

    (I know that some are multiplatform, you don’t need to tell me. blah…)
