At a Square Enix press conference in Tokyo on Wednesday morning, Yuji Horii, creator of the Dragon Quest series, announced that Dragon Quest X would be appearing on the Nintendo Wii. No additional details or a release date were announced.

With Dragon Quest X, the series will be returning to consoles after Dragon Quest IX hits the Nintendo DS in Japan on March 28, 2009, the first game in the core series to debut on a portable.
