GTAIV was a great game all around, and that's what they were looking for in GotY. GTAIV literally blew the charts in the gaming industry. It has a huge fan base, the game engine was revolutionary and they're still adding new stuff to it, and it literally blew the charts in sales. It has much improved over the orignal. athough I dont think it deserves game of the year for some of the glitches in it. GTA4 is the same old shit everytime. I think that they made a big ass mistake.
