2 weeks and 58,736 votes ago, community modding site Mod DB began voting on the best 100 mods from the year. The votes are in, and you can now browse the 100 best mods of 2008, as well as the best upcoming mods. Make sure to vote for your favourite, to ensure it makes the top 5, or even the title of “best mod” in 2008. My vote goes to Zombie Panic: Source- a game where once you are killed by the horde, you become one of them. Being last alive is truly something to behold.

Why do I report this, though? Well, as a great advocate of the modding scene, I’d like to encourage more gamers to play these games. Don’t forget that Counter-Strike and even Team Fortress both started out as mods, and are played by millions daily. This top 100 showcases the best this year had to offer, so if you own any of the games listed, have a look at the mods!
