European Killzone 2 demo coming February 5

Joystiq reports that a demo of the much anticipated (by some) Killzone 2 will be hitting the European PSN on February 5. In the US, PS3 owners will have to pre-order the game at GameStop to get the demo on the same day, or wait until 27 February. Of course, cunning PS3 owners will find a way of downloading the European demo on their Euro accounts, I’m sure. Hugo Bustillos, a UK Sony representative, has noted that we’ll see the first two areas of the game’s first level, ‘Corinth River,’ with a beach landing and a warehouse. Also, the demo will include a tutorial, although I doubt it can match a certain game’s tutorial.
This is good news for people like me, who haven’t really seen much about the game, but want to know why people are talking about it so much. If the game is anything like the mediocre last game, even if it does look pretty, it won’t be getting a free pass from me. That said, pretty graphics!

Well, I played the demo. Either the released the worst part of the game as the demo, or the whole thing is like that. Such a mediocre shooter, just like Killzone 1.

Frankly, My feeling are mixed, I played the demo and it looked excellent the controls are well balanced and pretty intuitive. The level in the demo though wasn’t what I would call very interesting, I never have good fortune with demos though, it always seems to me that they got someone who really didn’t give a damn to choose a section to use from the game from a list of poor sections. maybe they used a dart…that is actually how I felt about Uncharted as well, the demo was annoying to me but, eventually I bought the game and it is now one of my favorite games and it will stay in my collection.
What I am really looking forward to though is playing on-line, and this looks like a great on-line game, I am trying to convince my brother the order a copy himself so I can play against him.
On a side note,If MAG looks this good and the multiplayer is as good as what the beta players of KZ2 claim, that could be another great game to grab as well.

blah, What I meant was if MAG is as good as what KZ2 multiplayer beta testers said KZ2 is. it may very well be something to grab.

Yeah, demos are unfortunately not that great to go by. It still has a chance, especially with the multiplayer like you said. Also, MAG does seem like it’s too good to be true.

To be honest DavidGX, You and Carzyspider are two sides of the same coin. David, is there anything you like about the PS3? games or hardware wise?
the same go’s for CrazySpider, do you think there is anything good about the 360?

There is only so many google hits with your username since 2006 I can read with you talking about how great the 360 is compared the the PS3. every where from engaget to Digg…heck even on PS3 sites.

Let’s not take this too far, guys. Madpuppy, DavidGX isn’t a fanboy- he articulates himself well and has reasons for liking the 360. DavidGX, don’t take it personally. Madpuppy loves you really.

you want a logo? I cannot help you. madpuppy is more common than I would like it to be. davidGX is not, for instance,I can tell by your style of writing that you are the same DavidGX of Digg.
Now, as for consoles, they are just toys and really nothing to get crazy over. I have always made it my policy to take people over relatively useless things.
On that note, I could never replace LordCancer in your eyes David. :P
