Gears Ten-Year Plan: Lancer Next Lightsaber
by Chad Lakkis on February 10, 2009 at 10:43 am

Guys and commitment do not usually go hand in hand. Most of us cringe at the idea of a five yea car loan — so how would we feel about a ten year long ride involving the mass murder of Locust? I’m pretty sure we could deal with that.
In a recent discussion durring the New York Comic-Con Gears of War Panel, Gears scribe Joshua Ortega had the following to say about the franchise:
“You will not be disappointed in the next ten years … It’s a ten-year plan. Gears is long-term. The lancer is the new lightsaber.”
Interesting. A ten year plan. I’m not sure where the guys at Epic are thinking of taking the game next. I mean, lets be honest here, one can only dig so far beneath the earths surface before ending up in China. What do you think? Will another seven years or so of “Gears Badassness” be more Roadie Run than we can handle?

Lets hope Gears 4,5 and 6 don’t follow Star Wars (As in, eps. 1,2, and 3).

That dev is living in LALA land! I can pull fantasies out of my A$$ as well.
“Machine gun leg from terror planet is the next lightsaber”
or, how about this one:
” Monk is the next James Bond”
they say stupid stuff like this in movies:
“move over Bourne, Traitor will blow you away!”
