Selling more consoles, yes, they'll lose mulla from making the hardware in such with the price drop buuuut that's probably and most likely a sacrifice SONY will have to take if they want to show people they're still in the game and try not to look so greedy. Name brand blu-ray players go for about 300.00 now and maybe they have a deal with their partners that may prohibit a dramatic price drop. after All, eliminating the gaming, dlna and wireless , The PS3 is one of the best, future proof bluray players on the market for the past 2 years with the ability to firmware update to the latest audio, video codecs and blu-ray specs.
