[UPDATE] Winner of The Halo 3 Map Pack Is….

Although the average human attention span is less than that of a retarded meerkat, Halo 3 seems to have held its own extremely well in the year and a half that it’s been out. Even now, with a multitude of different FPSes, TPSes, and Halo Wars, Halo 3 is pretty popular amongst Xbox Live members, despite the fact that its maps are pretty limited.

We here at Ripten aim to fix that problem, by holding a contest in which you can win the brand new Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack! The map pack contains three maps- Assembly, Orbital and Sandbox, and a brand new Forge experience (you can start on a blank slate!) for more thrilling multiplayer action.

As of now, the Map Pack hasn’t been officially released, and the only way to get a code for the maps is through the Halo Wars Limited Edition. But, thanks to Microsoft and Ron “Greybush” Workman, we’ve got a code for one lucky reader out there. Hit the jump to learn how you can win!

All you have to do to win is register for an account (if you don’t already have one) and leave a comment on this post below. You will then be automatically entered. A winner will be selected at random by 11:59 PM CST Tuesday, March 10th. Only one entry permitted per person — don’t make us call the IP police!

    I would love to have a mythic code. You see, I had actually pre-ordered my copy of Halo Wars from GameStop. I went to go pick it up the day it came out only to find out that somehow I had preordered the regular edition and NOT the limited edition. Sadly, they had no more LE to purchase here, or at any of the surrounding stores. So i was forced to go home Mythic Map Packless.     I would love to play the mythic map pack ,I am looking Forward to orbital , Sandbox and Assambly .
    they are the most fun maps i ever seen especially for forge easy and best maps to make your own creations . Orbital hmm i love the sound of a new UNSC space base , the perfect place to have a CTF, VIP and other modes , also this map looks best for Machinimas and i love the kick ass view of Earth, lovely ! Assambly : looks great probably will be one of my favorite maps in terms of scenery and gameplay,the small corridors and the small/medium sized
    outdoor area of Assembly looks great for Slayer and one-sided gametypes.
    Finally Sandbox The Crypt, being about the size of Foundry and a half, looks great for Grifball, and making small, closed off houses for Infection gametypes/maps alike. The skybubbe, being Foundry times 7, or more, will be great for recreating classic maps like Blood Gulch, headlong, and the fabled Midship.

    So im really looking forwad to the Mythic Map Pack Thank you

    I had been waiting for the Mythic maps ever since I got Halo 3 not too long ago and saw Assembly,which just felt like a piece of me that was missing.I instantly got the heroic and legendary map packs and they just didn’t feel anything near assembly.I saw pictures of Orbital and sandbox and they just seemed amazing.I never was a person for matchmaking,the only time I ever played was when my friend would come over and we would play.I think if I win I will play the mythic playlist a lot.I tried to buy the Halo Wars Limited Edition,don’t get me wrong it’s a great game but I tried for Limited just for the maps,but with all the money I am losing for gas,bills,and plus with all the things I have to do daily,I barely make by with my life,and have no time for overtime,which my boss barely gives.After about a month I could only get up about $20 extra,which I had to spend on groceries because my brother decided to throw a party for a birthday here,so I am down to -$30 in my Halo wars Limited fund.My boss made me take the place of my coworker and I refused and walked out,so I probably won’t get that raise I needed :(.
    All I am saying is,after all day at work,I come home and play Halo 3,because I can’t shoot things in real life,and if I got these maps it would save me $80 which I do not have.

    I would love a Mythic Map Pack code! I would be able to put it to good use, I have advance forge skills and I am almost always in forge. I have made several maps, from racing maps, to slayer maps, to grifball maps, to infection maps. With this map pack I would be able to make intense maps that would be fun for everyone. I really hope I get this code, but I will not go crazy and get mad if I don’t for example I know that some people will post stupid and angry comments that they didn’t win.     I wanna thank a.k.a. Demi Adejuyigbe for sharing this experience with us and giving the people a chance who wasnt able to get the halo wars.
    Ive been a Halo fan for a long time.. When I mean a long time I mean when they made the halo 1 limited edition xbox. Ive played all the halo series (1,2 and 3). Halo 1 made me love shooting games first when I saw that sniper shoot him in the head from across blood glutch.. (memories) Halo 2 everyone loved midship when you went up the lift assasinated. Out br people, guy standing at the top corner ready to snipe you… Halo 3 people was happy to see halo 3 gave it so much hype..people standing outside for day waiting for it.. Throw a sticky at the mancannon watch it float in the air and stick the other guy.. (Boom) The people who made halo deserve alot of credit then they are giving.. Halo is what gave microsoft that big jump start in there gaming industry!
    But I wanna thank greenskull for sharing this experience with us giving the code out early! Changing people patience been waiting for Assembly,Sandbox and Orbital.. Assembly – When you look up in the sky you see the scarab being made and the beauty of how it was made/creation. Sandbox – When you walk into the sand someone will come after you and thats not even it..you will never know what holds under its secrets.. Orbital – When you look out through the window you see the gorgous space with the beautiful earth. Man I cant wait to see these maps and explore and details bungie put through them.

    I have my 3 set friends that i play Halo 3 with, they all have gotten the new Mythic Maps but i do not. They tell me ” Lets go play mythic, oh wait, You CANT!” I have gotten made fun of and have not been able to play with all the players I usualy play with. So please if I win this, I could go back to playing with my friends again and not getting made fun of.

    Hey ya chad. Thank you for sharing this code with the gaming community. WE really appreciate it. With bungie mkaing ever greater games and content we are all eager to recieve the mythic map pack one way or another.I hope that your site gets recognized for more than just having a mythic map pack code. THough i am new here I am eager to check out all your site has to offer. Thank you for taking the time to create and maintain a top notch site (bungie would not give you codes it if it was not). Even though the chances are slim I hope that I get the code. I think that though everyone deserves it that only one will get it. May the best man/woman win!
