Sega’s MadWorld of Marketing Gets Viral

If you ever wanted proof that the Nintendo Wii console is not just for little kids and rump shaking girls in their twenties, you can find several limbs strewn about England grasping a game you won’t see advertised during Sesame Street … or will you?
Just how far will Sega go with their latest graphic and viral campaign to promote the upcoming release of MadWorld? In addition to the strategically placed “limbs in London” (sounds like the title of a movie), the publisher is also sending out quite a lovely review package to the press (shown in the left portion of the image above).
I personally think we need more of this type of thing surrounding a game’s release, however some british publications have already begun to paint Sega’s promotional antics as sickening to their public. Oh Benny Hill, where are you now.

If I saw an awesome limb on the ground like that. I would take it.

They probably have marketing people standing next to them pretending to read the paper and wait for the bus. If you tried to take it they would likely taser you. Worth a shot though.

Jon Zungre is Ripten's version of Max Headroom. Listen to him each morning on CD101 FM in Columbus OH….shameless plug.
