GDC09: Batman: Arkham Asylum Challenge Room Gameplay Video

Looks like we finally have some actual gameplay footage of the new Batman: Arkham Asylum title. Here’s a video of the game’s director, Sefton Hill, walking us through the Silent Knight Challenge Room, and quite honestly, I’m impressed. It’s been awhile since we’ve had a good Batman game. Actually, have we ever been given a good Batman game? Here’s hoping this is the one.

Very cool. Reminds me of the whole "Saw" movie franchise for some reason. Maybe its the fact that Batman actually has them trapped and is playing games with them picking them off one by one. Very interesting concept. I like it alot.

I haven't bought a game on its release date in a long time, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to with this. The stealth/tactical element that Chad mentioned is what makes it great. With all of the old Batman games, you could just switch Batman with any other character and it wouldn't make a difference, but that's not the case here.

I have a feeling this is going to be a great game. I know it was eons ago but Batman for the 8 bit NES was one of the best games to use an IP in that side scrolling genre. Fun, fun, fun game. Here's a high def video of Batman: Arkham Asylum (http://stusreviews.com/video-game-trailers/playst…
