Ubisoft announced today that they are developing a video game based on the upcoming Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation CG film, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Ubisoft has partnered with Sony Pictures Animation previously for the video games based off of Surf’s Up and Open Season.
“We’re pleased to continue our successful partnership with Sony Pictures Consumer Products,” said Christian Salomon, vice president of worldwide licensing at Ubisoft. “Our teams are looking forward to creating a game that will offer parents and children an entertaining experience that they can share together while reliving their favorite moments from the film.”
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is scheduled to release later this year alongside the theatrical realease of the film, which opens September 18. The game will be available on consoles and handhelds, and will most likely be full of easy achievements/trophies so that people will actually play it.

"and will most likely be full of easy achievements/trophies so that people will actually play it." lol pretty much.
Nothing like a movie tie in game bonus points for it being a kids movie oh and Ubisoft hmmm does this even have a chance of a score of 6/10? Probably not, but I'm sure it will still sell decently.

Oh man, this is going to be the best year ever. Two of my favorite books as a kid, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and Where the Wild Things Are, are turning into films!?

Judging from the picture, that guy's "Meatballs" are red raw.

That "Where the wild things are" trailer made me weary. The beasts looked creepy rather than cute.
