Rumor – The Witcher: Rise of The White Wolf Cancelled

Rumors are always a gamble, especially rumors that have been translated from a foreign language. If this one turns out to be true, The Witcher may not see the light of day on consoles.
A translation from Polish gaming site Polygamia says that the site’s sources have told them that the console version of The Witcher, titled The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf, has been canned.
When asked about the rumor, Witcher developer CD Projekt Red gave the usual “no commenting on rumors” line and said that a statement would be made soon via official channels.
Our own Dan Landis went pretty gaga over The Witcher, and I’ve said before that I’m a console man at heart, so I’ve been looking forward to this. Let’s hope this isn’t true, but that ominous impending statement has me worried.
