Valve Puts The Crossing on Hold

Some of you might remember an FPS Valve announced a while ago called The Crossing. Valve said it mixed single player and multi-player experiences, and while I don’t know how that would work, with Valve behind it, I’m sure it would’ve worked out just fine- would’ve being the operative word there.
Today Valve & Arkane Studios announced that The Crossing was being put on hold, citing unexpected financial issues, which was supposedly a result of the series of layoffs at Electronic Arts, since EA had been providing support for Arkane’s development. Although I would’ve loved to see this game get off of the ground, I wish the best for Arkane Studios, as the last thing we need is another development studio shutting down.
