i bought it. i think it coo to transfer all your stuff like halo1. if i don't need it, i can delete it and i don't need to download again. it's 4,6GB big.

and hey. i buy this in 2GB for the same price as microsofts 512MB. why should i buy the one from microsoft.

Piracy has always been a hardware seller,it was one of the major forces related to the success of the playstation family throughout this last 3 generations.

But if you as a company allow piracy for a long time,investors and developers could start abandoning you.That's why after two generations of highly Pirateable consoles and an extremely "customizable" handheld,Sony put some high level 128 bit security on PS3.They can't afford to lose all credibility in front of investors.That's why Ubisoft and many others made more money out of PS3 game sales this seventh generation,and that's why microsoft is on the brink of winning the whole war;Software Piracy.
Microsoft can play this game for longer though.

Piracy is a problem for the developers but,better said,for the intermediaries.

If the business model can become one where everything goes from developer to consumer,price goes down,and piracy could become obsolete.

There are still too many hands between the consumer and the creator,most of that hands belong to people who don't give a f*ck about videogames.They just invest in the next movie based franchise for a game, and pollute original creators panorama with seasonal shovelware.

I didn't delete any comments. And proved me wrong how? I meant that it's useful if you run into RRoDs often, because you can move your game saves onto your computer. Not everyone uses a hard drive, and some people just use memory cards. Those memory card people can use this to backup their saves.

It also promotes piracy for the same reason. You can move an XBLA game to the SD card, and just upload it to your computer. Theoretically, the piracy community would find a way to allow people to download and play said games.

I'm confused as to what argument you're making. You remember that not ALL Xbox 360s come with hard drives… right?
