Create Healthy Game Concept and Win $5000

Have you ever thought to yourself “If I had the chance to create a video game it would seriously kick ass”, well here is your chance to put your potential prize winnings where your mouth is. I just got a letter a few moments ago from Humana, the Official Health Benefits Provider of the PGA TOUR, and they are looking for a “new game concept” that will “encourage people to become more active and live healthier lifestyles through games.”

“Humana Games for Health is looking for new game concepts that are innovative and entertaining enough to motivate everyone from kids to families to seniors to become more active or encourage them to make healthy decisions.”

The competition itself is titled “InsertCoin” and the payday is pretty nice if you think you’ve got what it takes to knock their health loving socks off.

Humana Games for Health will award cash prizes to three contestants (from all categories combined) whose entries are judged to be the best: $5,000 for first place, $3,000 for second place and $2,000 for third place. Humana Games for Health will also evaluate the finalists and semifinalists (30 games total) for commercialization potential.”

The InsertCoin competition is open to residents of the United States. It kicks off today, June 11, and continues through September 9. Those over 18 are free to enter without restriction, however child gaming geniuses 17 and under must have parent or guardian permission.

That’s it. Get off your butt and make a name for yourself by heading over to humanagames.com and entering today. We fully expect to see you standing on stage at a future E3 keynote. Move it!

I will come up with something better than all of you and it will combine stripping and losing weight. Pure win.

    Level 1: Go outside
    Level 2: Run
Level 3: If not exhausted Then go to Level 2
    Else stop running.
    Level 4: Rest
Level 5: Go to Step 2

The game is over when your body fat drops to worryingly low levels. Then you’re allowed one “Bonus Round” (aka a sandwich) before returning to Level 1.

… oh, I’m sorry, they wanted a _fun_ game.

I'll remake Mirrors Edge, but peas instead of bullets.
