Metal Gear Solid: Rising to Get All-New Engine

Metal Gear Solid: Rising is expected to be much more action-oriented than previous installments in the series, so it only makes sense that it won’t be using the same engine.
Instead of using the engine from Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, the Kojima Productions team plans to build a whole new engine to achieve their “lighting bolt action.”
While I’m definitely looking forward to Rising – and really, how can you not get excited about lightning bolt action – I’m saddened that stealth won’t play as big of a part as usual. Still, they would never abandon stealth completely, so maybe I’m getting all fussed over nothing.

you know, playing through MGS4 and seeing how much more athletic Raiden was than snake, I thought that when he got his own game it would be more action oriented. I just wonder how much more time a new engine will add on to the development process.

I dont know, probably a good deal because of testing and all but hopefully it will ad another excellent title to the series ;)
