Mental, a new show on the Fox network, is about a physciatrist who uses unorthodox techniques to deal with his patients. Honestly, the show seems like a total House cash-in. But that’s beside the point. The latest episode deals with a kid addicted to a video game he’s playing in his head. That’s right.
You know you want to read more.
The 8-year-old bipolar boy has become dangerously addicted to a video game he’s been playing in his head and he apparently moves his body around like he’s controlling an avatar. He also tries to kill himself!
What does this episode say about video games? It says that the writers of Mental sport a dangerous lack of pop-culture knowledge. Really, it’s unforgivable.
