Warfare Wallpaper Contest 2009
by Dan Landis on September 30, 2009 at 11:03 pm
With Modern Warfare 2 coming out in a month, we here at Ripten thought it might be just a tiny bit cooler to run around with an actual gun in real life instead of just in a game. I mean, right? That would be cooler, right? Okay, well we can’t actually do that for several reasons, not the least of which is that we just don’t trust ourselves not to shoot people in the face. That’s what gamers do, right?
Echo1 has us covered with the next best thing: an airsoft rifle. If you don’t know what that means, it’s essentially a BB gun that shoots “harmless” plastic pellets. This one we have here should look familiar to you if you’ve played pretty much any shooter in the last 15 years, and it’s full scale and made of metal. How about you peoples show us some lovin’ and maybe you can get yourself one of these bad boys for FREE!
All you have to do is send your best warfare-themed artwork to warfarecontest@echo1usa.com and you’ll get a chance to win one of three Echo1 MS-2s (full-metal automatic electric guns). Visit the echo1 contest page to find out more info, check out the Echo1 catalog, or download the rules and details (also listed below).

Is this comp open to Australians as well or just U.S. citizens?

If this gun cannot injure small animals or make children cry, then it’s not worth the effort of participation. If you want to promote this contest, sell the prize better! A picture of a kid with a welt on his forehead would make this thing hot.

The contest is open to all countries, depending on local laws, of course.
And yeah, I thought about going out a shooting some kids in the face, but I don’t have my MS-2 yet. Sorry!
