This Thanksgiving, when you sit down with your family and look around at the dishes, silverware, beverage containers, and even the food itself … ask yourself, is this meal fit for a video game nerd? If the answer is no, here are a few things that I whipped up in Photoshop that might help you turn it around.
Every table needs a tablecloth, but not every tablecloth is worthy of laying down the foundation for a meal of video game thanks. That’s why you need to be the first family on the block sporting a Nintendo Power Pad tablecloth. Clear the dishes, mash the buttons, and you’re on your way to World Class Track Meet infamy!!

Set the table with utensils and plates capable of doubling as weapons and shields because you never know when a boss fight may break out. Huzzah!

Wet your whistle with a beverage that refreshes and helps you “do your dailies in half the time!” Since it’s a special day of thanks, you’re going to pour that tasty beverage into a Master Chief Helmet Mug and keep it cool with some Tetris shaped ice.

Table, dinnerware, and beverage aside, you’re eventually going to need to eat! And you’re not going to want to settle for just any old food now are you? Absolutely not! You deserve the best that the video game world has to offer, and I’ve got you covered.
While most of us hate to eat them, vegetables and fruits are part of the four food groups. They’re rich in vitamins and nutrients, but that doesn’t mean that they have to be boring! The video game veggie selection consists of Super Mushrooms and a Sackboy Stuffed Potato. You’ll want to be careful when reaching for the cranberry sauce though.

Who can resist bruschetta, especially when it’s the Pac-Man ghost variety. So good.

Last but not least — the meat! Why conform to the same old turkey you eat every year, when you could be eating a scrumptious delicacy first enjoyed by the British many many years ago. Of course I’m talking about roasted hedgehog (or Roasted Sonic The Hedgehog in our case). Doesn’t that sound yummy? Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
