Splinter Cell: Conviction Getting Co-op Mode?

Splinter Cell: Conviction, the installment where Sam Fisher goes full-on hobo, won’t be released until February 23rd of next year, but we’re starting to get some concrete details.
It looks as if the game will get some sort of co-op gameplay. The latest issue of PC Zone magazine states that the next issue will have a “hands-on, co-op reveal and a brand new mode” regarding Splinter Cell: Conviction.
Is this co-op reveal and the brand new mode one and the same? Are we looking at some sort of hobo tag team mode? Or will it be more of a versus thing like in Chaos Theory and Double Agent? In either case, paint me excited.
The next issue of PC Zone magazine hits shelves on December 23rd, which is perfect timing, because I want wonderful gaming news for Christmas.
Thanks, CVG.
