World 4th Ranked Pro Tennis Player Dumped Over 7-Hour-a-Day Modern Warfare 2 PS3 Addiction
The worlds 4th ranked professional tennis player, Andy Murray, has been dumped by long time girlfriend Kim Sears. The reason for this Shakespearean tragedy? A seven-hour-a-day love affair with his PlayStation 3 console and Modern Warfare 2.
Several sources close to the situation, including Murray’s coach, have gone on record saying that the athlete spends multiple hours at a time playing video games, with the most recent “anonymous” source stating that the girlfriend finally got “fed up”. In his defense, the player’s agent said he “doesn’t play computer games any more than any other 22 year-old.”
Poor Andy. The going rate on an affair with a real life woman is a smashed car window and a few scrapes and bruises, but cheating with a console? That’s just unforgivable.
Murray, was once quoted saying:
“I’m lucky to have my Kim..I know she isn’t with me because I’m famous,”
… and now she isn’t with you — at all. Hey, at least you still have your PlayStation 3, which is more than we can say for this guy.
As a side note, I find it funny that the Yahoo Sports blogger reporting this closes out his article with “come on, have you seen Modern Warfare 2? (Have you, because I have no clue what it is.)” What rock has that guy been living under?
