Video Game Awards 09 Packs Ever-Changing Digital Stage & Plenty of Big Game Surprises

With a handful of new games already teased, Video Game Awards producer Geoff Keighley says the show has plenty more up its sleeves:

“We definitely have some pretty major surprises still to come … Essentially, the biggest thing in the show hasn’t even been announced yet.”

Keighley added that this year’s show will feature a digital stage allowing for “changing environments after every commercial break”. While he didn’t reveal specifics about the transformations themselves, he did mention that they’ve been working closely with game publishers on them.

Perhaps the show will announce one award from the depths of Shambhala, and another from a cell deep inside Arkham Asylum. You can catch the 7th Annual Video Game Awards on Spike TV tomorrow night at 8pm.
