Halo: Reach Multiplayer Beta Coming In May?

With the (rather underwhelming) Halo: Reach trailer being shown off at the Video Game Awards last night, it’s not uncommon for people to scour the internet looking for more information about the game. We don’t know very much about Reach, but the narrative trailer showed us that it would indeed be an origins-type story, and that there would be a beta coming out in the Spring with invites attached to Halo 3: ODST. Thanks to a listing from a Child’s Play Charity Auction Dinner in Seattle last Thursday, we might also know that the beta is coming in the month of May.

Bungie put a chance to play the game’s multiplayer beta before everyone else up for auction at the dinner, and one sly auction-goer managed to take a photo of the listing, valued at $1,000. Bungie set the playtime limit to any day between April 8th and April 28th, and for that to be before the beta’s launch, the beta would have to launch on April 29th, at the earliest, but it’s more likely that it would be in May.

We know that the beta is coming in the spring, but can you guys wait until May to play the next game in the Halo franchise? Since I haven’t yet gotten any hands-on time with ODST, it’s safe to say I can, but hit the comments and tell us what you think.
