Dragon Age Expansion Has Awoken!!

Dragon Age fans rejoice, for the moment is finally at hand! Some serious new content is here, and it’s up to the Grey Wardens to stomp it!!

If you’ve finished Dragon Age: Origins, then by now you should know that there is much work for the new commander of the Grey Wardens s to do. While the blight may be over, the Darkspawn are always a threat . . . and it seems that even new threats have begun to arise in Dragon Age Origins: Awakening. If you HAVE NOT yet finished DAO, or simply have yet to play it, you’re missing out. For those of you who have, here are the goods on the expansion:

After you have just finished slaying the Archdemon and ending the blight in the process, it’s up to you to rebuild the Grey Wardens and restore true peace to Ferelden. In Awakening, you’ll reprise your role as the newfound leader of the Grey Wardens in pursuit of a new enemy . . . a mysterious darkspawn general who can think, talk, and raise armies of new darkspawn. (talking darkspawn . . . that’s almost as bad as intelligent deathclaws!)

You have the choice of importing your character from Origins, or starting as a Grey Warden from the neighboring land of Orlais. (whom has his own backstory of course)

But wait! There’s more! Dragon Age: Awakening will also have . . .

-20+ Hours of new gameplay (It’s almost it’s own game!)

-An increased level cap to 35 (That’s higher than Broken Steel!)

-No romance!! There’s work to be done!! (Replay Dragon Age: Origins if ya wana make love mmk?)

-6 new talent specs for each class

-24 New Caster Spells

-32 New Rogue and Warrior talents

-6 New playable party characters!!

-Anders the cocky Mage and Velanna the sexy angry Dalish Mage!!

-Justice!! The vengeful soul trapped in a dead human body!! (Anyone remember Vhailor from Torment?)

-Mhairi, the bravest female warrior around!

-Nathaniel . . . His name is Nathaniel Howe, you killed his father, prepare to die!

-Sigrun, the last surviving member of the Dwarven Legion of the Dead (They had such cool armor!)

Speaking of new characters , the talking Darkspawn general may not be your greatest threat . . .

So there you have it. Lead new allies, against new foes, in all new lands, for over 20 hours of new gameplay!!

    More Dragon Age, whats not to love there? Its rare to find expansions that are so vast, this one may actually be worth the cost. I can't wait to play it.

    Just finished this expansion, it was by far one of the best and also the buggiest I've ever played. 20+ hours is pushing it, I'd say this xpac is a solid 15 hour romp and tons of fun. However, my game crashed exactly 67 times during my 17 hour excursion through Dragon Age Origins: Awakening. I even ran into some of the worst bugs reported for this xpac such as having my main character lose all of his best gear permanently. Barring the bugs, it was great; but due to the bugs I'd give this expansion a solid 8, which is generous. I wonder where BioWare's QA testing department went on their vacation? I bet it's sunny.
