Mass Effect 2 “Equalizer Pack” DLC Available Today

Mass Effect 2 lovers are going to want to make sure their Microsoft Points supply is in good standing today. Bioware’s latest DLC for the game, titled “Equalizer Pack” is available for download right now via the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 160 MS points.

What will you get for your money? New movement speed enhancing “Inferno Armor”, a “Capacity Helmet” that increases your shield regeneration rate, and an “Anrchon Visor” that boosts biotic recharge.

The update is also available on the PC for 160 BioWare Points.

Is this something you’d be willing to spend your money on or do you feel these types of power ups should be readily available in the game to begin with?

Count me in on this one, but really I am dying for some 'proper' story-based DLC, though I hear that is on its way too! Awesome game ME2, love it!

bough kasumi dlc, it was nice. a good change. paying for armor? not gonna happen. maybe when i have an abundance of points, or some left that i need to spend. i want more story content.

I'm way done with ME 2 at this point. I'd only boot it up again for some new story content. New armor aint gonna do it for me. Bring on Mass Effect 3

I think that given how much content has already been made available free through the Cerberus network, 160 is a pretty small price to pay for some new gear. The inferno armour was included as a pre-order incentive by retailers other than Gamestop, btw.

terminus was given through gamestop, along with the blackstorm heavy weapon. and i'd go with the terminus armor over this set anyways. 20% biotic damage > 20% cooldown on biotic powers. what's .2 seconds anyways when the adept powers recharge in about 2s?

  • Destenoth

I prefer to use customised N7 armour anyway, so the helmet and visor included look interesting. I already have the Terminus armour and Blackstorm HW, so I'd like to try out the Inferno.

2 seconds means a lot if you're a Vanguard on Insanity. Charge takes longer to recharge than pull and whatnot, and those few seconds prove crucial.
