Latest OXM Predicts Perfect Dark II E3 Reveal, Slim 360 In Fall, Doubts Dash Redesign For Natal

The July issue of the Official Xbox Magazine is apparently making its rounds to subscribers, one of which has posted a bit of information from the rumors section to the NeoGAF forums. You can read the crystal ball peering gibberish below:
“With Gears of War 3 out in April 2011, what will Microsoft have for holiday 2011? The Ball sees a redheaded girl in a spandex suit. … A slimmer, redesigned 360 to be revealed at E3? Don’t bet on it until the fall, when it’s part of the Project Natal rollout. Expecting a 360 dashboard redesign to accompany Project Natal? Don’t hold your breath, says the ball.”
I’m no crystal ball translating expert, but that sounds like they think Perfect Dark II will be announced at E3. The other stuff about a slimmer 360 and a redesigned dashboard are written as questions, not predictions, and their crystal ball responses don’t seem very favorable in terms of making the E3 agenda.
It should be noted that CheapyD made a Microsoft related E3 prediction in one of his recent podcasts, stating: “Thinner Xbox is happening. Black. Small. It’s happening.” Now, that’s far from supporting evidence in the case of the OXM piece, especially since it seems to contradict their crystal ball.
So to sum things up, the OXM write-up could be based on solid inside information, or it could be nothing more than a cute way for the publication to air their personal predictions to their readers. We did something similar to this right before we boarded our plane to E3 two years ago, and then again in 2009. It was pretty clear that ours was a joke, but when an official magazine does the speculating, a lot of fingers start crossing.
