Cliff Lin’s “And Your World Will Burn” Rocks CoD: Black Ops Trailer

We don’t normally post music related write-ups on Ripten, but when we have, it’s usually because they did such a good job of capturing the mood of the game they were helping to promote.

Past examples of this would include the “Mad World” rendition by Michael Andrews, from the initial Gears of War TV spot, the Mercenaries 2 classic, “Oh No You Didn’t“, and Richard Swift’s “Would You“, which was creatively altered for an explosion filled Crackdown 2 trailer.

Now the hard core rockers get a gaming theme of their own to thrash their heads to. The tune below is titled “And Your World Will Burn“, as performed by Cliff Lin and featured in the Call of Duty: Black Ops debut trailer. Activision isn’t the first to call on Cliff for musical fire power — the artist has also had his work featured in trailers for Iron Man, Transformers, and Hell Boy 2.
