Devil’s Third Could Come to the PS3 in 3D

Before the 3DS, I can’t remember the last time I was excited for 3D from a consumer standpoint. I mean, sure it’s neat, but it increases costs on everything, and frankly, I don’t think it’s worth the trouble- but that’s not to say it’s not welcome in video games. However, I probably wouldn’t really use it. That being said, Tomonobu Itagaki telling VG247 that the PS3 version of Devil’s Third could support 3D gets a big “Alright. Neat.” from me.

The PlayStation 3 version is going to support 3D visuals. I myself have a 3D TV in my living room, so there’s no impossibility that it’s in my house. But to be honest with you, we have to first spec out the power and strength of PS3, and after we do that, we can start talking about it, so I can’t promise anything at this point.

I’m actually intrigued by Devil’s Third- it looks like the first original IP Itagaki has worked on in the past few years, and seems like it could be a lot of fun. Of course, I’m not so sure that I could deal with it being in 3D, so I will be playing this from my couch, glassess-less, when it releases. (Probably next year.)
