Global Agenda Ditches Subscription Fees

Global Agenda, the “Shooter MMO”, has ditched the subscription fee model today in a move towards a system of paid content for the game. The game is also currently on sale through Steam.
Previously the shooter had a $12.99 monthly subscription, but this has been scrapped. “Future content updates will be delivered via optional paid expansions,” Hi-Rez, the developer, explains. An expansion named ‘Sandstorm’ will be released free in the summer to show off the new system to players.
Sandstorm introduces “new player weapons and armor, additional character customization, larger PvE Raids, ability to play PvE solo, new PvP and PvE content, updated User Interface, and enhanced Agency vs. Agency campaigns.”
The game is also available as a free trial up to level 15, so new players can try it out before purchasing. I must say that I’m actually interested in this game, since a number of my Steam friends seem to play it a lot. It looks pretty nice, too. Now that there are no fees, and it’s on sale, this must be the best possible time to have a go. Anyone here a player? How is it? Let us know in the comments. I’d genuinely like to know.
