Lemmings Ported to Four Different Platforms in Just 36 Hours

Mobile 1UP developer Aaron Ardiri has managed to port a PalmOS version of the classic game Lemmings over to four different platforms in a space of just 36 hours.

Ardiri managed to port the game and get it up on the iPhone App Store and Palm App Catalog, Windows, and Mac (click to download- all versions are free).

A video of the iPhone version can be spotted below. It’s a huge feat to port and entire game over to another platform in a day, let alone four in 36 hours. You should be very impressed, and then go and play Lemmings to celebrate. What’s that? It’s a bit shit nowadays? Shh! Don’t tell him.

Yeah, and God bless him for porting the best 2D game besides Mario. I mean seriously, he’s got the music and everything. Music is half the point of Lemmings. Playing Lemmings without the sound is like trying drinking sweet tea without the sugar. Yeah I know this is the Amiga version graphics, but that’s what makes the game have asuch a magical quality. Who cares about graphics? It’s all about game-play, I believe. This game is a true hit, and still is goin’ strong. GOOD WORK GUY! God bless you for caring about the old games!

Yeah I know this is the Amiga version graphics, but that’s what makes the game have a such a magical quality, old-skool, simple graphics. Think about it. Shouldn’t take much processing power, and because of the charm, they still look pleasing to the eyes. Who cares about graphics? A good game is all about game-play, I believe. This game is a true hit, and still is goin’ strong. GOOD WORK GUY! God bless you for caring about the old games!
