THQ VP Reveals Metro 2034

THQ’s core games VP, Danny Bilson, has mentioned in an interview that a sequel to Metro 2033 will be coming, entitled ‘Metro 2034′.
Speaking in an E3 interview with CVG, Bilson (a hybrid superhero made from the juices of M. Bison and Woodrow Wilson) said that “We’re showing Metro 2033 in 3D right now, which Nvidia is showing as one of their key demo products… We’re going to be doing a 3D version of that on Metro 2034 – the sequel. And there will be some engineering costs there, but that’s in our lowest cost centre in the world. Those games are unbelievably reasonable, they’re built in Kiev.”
Speaking about 3D in games, Bilson also added: “Some people were confused about why we’d go into a market where there’s only one percent TVs. It’s about a great game and a plus up on the marketing side. We’re there at low risk and high quality, but, again, we’ll have to see how that market grows and what value is there.”
So it looks like we’ll not only be seeing a 3D sequel to Metro 2033 (a game which Dave can vouch for), but a number of THQ games in the future that support 3D. Great, if you like Metro 2033 and 3D. Good, if you like 3D. Fine, if you like Metro 2033. “Oh,” if you dislike one or more of those things.
