New inFamous 2 Gameplay Footage Is Electrifying (Sorry)
A few days ago, Geoff Keighley took to his Twitter to tease the fact that inFamous 2 gameplay footage would be shown off on GameTrailersTV tonight, and while the episode has not yet aired, (hence the relatively-low quality) the footage is online already. After all, this is the internet, where nothing stays hidden for too long.
Puns aside, this new footage looks incredible. I never played the original game, as I was put off by the inFamous/Prototype controversies, but there’s no way I’m not checking this one out. The destructive environments and explosions look like they could use some work, but electricity-charged baseball bat-swords? Creating a web of electricity destroying everything on an entire street? Surfing on electrical wires? (I know that was in the original, but come on! He’s surfing on electricity!) It looks like I’ll have to pick up and play inFamous before the sequel hits in 2011.
