Left 4 Dead 2′s Newest Mutation Dices, Slices, Makes French Fries and Three Different…

When Valve announced that they had decided to dump a vial of ooze over Left 4 Dead 2′s gametypes, I had a small bit of hesitation. Many people, including myself, were still a little wounded over a perceived lack of what I like to call Valve-ocity in the Left 4 Dead games, and these mutations just seemed like a haphazard attempt at satiating everybody’s desires for boatloads of new content. To me, it just didn’t seem like it would be too interesting or give the game anymore longevity than it already had. Then I realized I was super wrong and just a jaded ass who wants to hate everything because I’m disenfranchised with society and untrusting towards others, or something. Most of the mutations over the last few weeks have been greatly entertaining and actually brought me back into the game. So last week, when I saw “Four Swordsmen of the Apocalypse” I automatically assumed it would have something awesome to do with rocket launchers and kittens. I was wrong again, and instead it involves swords and the apocalypse- go figure. Left 4 Dead 2′s newest mutation will see the four protagonists taking on a “near endless” stream of special infected with nothing but the chosen tool of samurai delis everywhere.
According to the blog, we have something called “Hard Eight” to look forward to after Four Swordsmen runs its course, and if I had to guess, I would bet that it has something to do with (insert incredibly cliched and lazy reference to my own sexual endowment here).
