The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Coming “Early 2011″

Producer Eiji Aonuma has said today that he is “aiming for” The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword to release in “Early 2011″.

“The basis we have now is very, very solid,” Aonuma told ONM in an interview for the magazine’s next issue. “Early 2011 – that is what we’re aiming for.” After speculation that the game would get a late 2010 release, this might be a bit of bad news- but at least it means that there’s one less game in the Christmas rush this year. It’s also not too long of a wait for the game to be released; just a few months at most.

Of course, “aiming for” could mean that the game may slip back even further, so don’t take this for granted. Either way, it’s better for a game to come out late and be polished than early and shoddily made.
