Hate Spewing Church Will Protest At Comic Con 2010
That’s right. God hates nerds. The Westboro Baptist Church, famous for their, “God hates fags” campaign, has now turned it’s sights on Comic Con 2010, to protest our, “Idol Worship”
In the words of church (if you can call it that) founder and hate monger Fred Phelps, his church will be protesting Comic Con due to the idol worship of comic book fans. His own words below:
“Are you kidding?! If these people would spend even some of the energy that they spend on these comic books, reading the Bible, well no high hopes here. They have turned comic book characters into idols, and worship them they do! Isaiah 2:8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made: 9 And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not. It is time to put away the silly vanities and turn to God like you mean it. The destruction of this nation is imminent – so start calling on Batman and Superman now, see if they can pull you from the mess that you have created with all your silly idolatry.”
Are you kidding me!? Now I’m all for free speech, but you call this a church? You call this preaching? Get the fuck out. The fact that i’m even reporting on this bulshit makes me sick. So, if you’re like me, and you’re going to be at comic con 2010 and are looking forward to kicking some hate mongering asses, I’ll see you at 1:15 on Thursday, July 22.
